Kira is back home

Hello!

Im a few days late to reply, my apologies.
Here's the story of how we got our cockatiel bird back!

She flew out our door on May 23rd at 8:45 when my daughter was in a rush to get to her school bus. Very unlucky timing, she flew right past her and she couldn't catch her. Our bird was flying in circles around our house. We were hoping she'd get tired and come down, but she got chased by the other birds and flew until she was nowhere to be found.

We were devistated. We made flyers and put them up, went around looking for her, calling her name, told our nearby vet and shared the story online. No luck on the first day. The following morning, we put up some more flyers and went for another round of searching, but once again, no sign of our bird.

Luckly the next day, May 25th, we found her just 2 days after we lost her! A very kind family called us saying they found a birdy that they discribed to look just like our pet. We drove to their house, located 9 minutes away from us by car, where we found our little bird. They are great people! They gave her water and bought her bird food. The family found her chriping and knocking at their balcony door in the morning, so they let her in. They started searching for the owners, and surprisingly found us on Varage Sale. They called us and we came right away! At first we were scared it wasn't our bird, but then she flew onto our heads, something she does often. We knew very well it was our bird. We can't thank them enough!

A few days pass and she's back to her normal self. She chrips everymorning and eats normally. We're so glad to have our bird back!

We'd want to thank everyone who helped us during these few days, who encouraged us to not lose hope and gave us tips and tricks. People are amazing! If you lost a pet, do not lose hope, they are still somewhere out there among great people who are more than willing to help your pet get back home safe.

Special thanks to Perroquetsecours as well!

Thank you
