Thanks to your donations, the birds entrusted to us and which temporarily reside in foster families or in shelters are entitled to basic care (cage, food, toys and veterinary care). Planned donations<\/strong><\/h3>

A planned donation is a charitable donation that is subject to financial, tax or estate planning. This type of donation will subsequently benefit Perroquetsecours. Each type of donation has specific benefits.<\/p>

Gift by will: this is the easiest gift to make. All you have to do is indicate in your will that you want a portion of your assets to be given to Perroquetsecours. You can leave a specific amount of money, a specific asset, or a percentage of your estate or its residual value.<\/p>

Donation of a life insurance policy: you can designate Perroquetsecours as the beneficiary of your life insurance policy, whether it is a new policy or an existing policy.<\/p>

Donation of retirement plan assets: you can designate Perroquetsecours as the beneficiary of your registered retirement plan (RRSP, RRIF). In Quebec, this designation must be made by will. Elsewhere in Canada, the designation can be made directly on the RRSP or RRIF.<\/p>

Impact on the world of parrots: you can be sure to donate to a cause that is important to you and know that your funds will be used to help parrots.<\/p>

Tax reduction: a planned donation will allow you to reduce the taxes you pay. The tax rules allow you to divide the donation between the last two tax years of the deceased individual and the tax years of the estate (year of the donation or previous years), whichever is more advantageous.
