Perroquetsecours a été mandaté pour trouver la meilleure famille possible pour l'oiseau suivant. Il est présentement à Mascouche QC :

Date d'achat : cadeau en 1996
Où l'oiseau a t'il été acheté : d'un ancien propriétaire
L'oiseau se trouve présentement à : Mascouche QC
Habitudes et personnalité : (texte basé sur les informations fournies par son propriétaire actuel)
Kopain passe la journée dans sa cage, il est en liberté environ 1 heure par jour, et dort en liberté sur un perchoir environ 12 heures par jour. Il mange des grains mélangés et des restants de table. Il sera important d'intégrer à son alimentation des noix en écales natures telles noix de Grenoble, du Brésil et amandes. Les aras ont besoin de noix dans leur alimentation. Un bol de moulée pourrait également être laissé en permanence dans sa cage, pour essayer de l'intégrer à son alimentation. Il n'a jamais été en relation avec d'autres oiseaux, alors on ignore quelle serait sa réaction. Il parle un peu, n'est pas agressif, aime jouer et est un peu taquin à ses heures. Il est affectueux et sociable.
La raison de la mise en adoption :
Le propriétaire actuel manque de temps pour lui, alors l'adoptant que nous recherchons devra avoir du temps de qualité à lui consacrer et ne pas vivre à logement. Kopain vient avec sa cage, mais elle est petite, idéalement une plus grande cage sera de mise. Il n'y a aucun frais d'adoption pour Kopain, seul son bonheur importe. Nous serons très sélectifs dans le choix des candidats.

The bird is presently in: Mascouche QC
Habits and personality: (text based on information provided by the current owner)
Kopain spends the day in his cage. He is out of the cage about 1 hour a day and sleeps freely on a perch about 12 hours a day. He eats a micture of seeds and leftovers. It will be important to include in his diet shelled nuts such as walnuts, Brazilian nuts and almonds. Macaws need nuts in their diet. A bowl of pellets could also be left permanently in his cage to try and integrate into his diet. He has never been in contact with other birds, so we do not know what his reaction would be. He speaks a little, is not aggressive, likes to play and is a little teaser from time to time. He is affectionate and sociable.
Reason for placing in adoption:
The current owner lacks time for him, so the family we are looking for will need to have quality time to spare and must not live in an apartment. Kopain comes with a small cage; ideally a larger cage will be needed. There is no adoption fee for Kopain, only his happiness matters. We will be very selective in our choice of candidates.

Perroquetsecours must, on a regular basis, put some unclaimed found birds up for adoption and in doing so, it updates a database of candidates interested in adopting a parrot. Therefore, and although this is not its main mission, in exceptional circumstances and at its own discretion, it happens that Perroquetsecours agrees to intervene to help a person in need to find a new family for one or more of their birds.
