Cockatiel avec un grand besoin d’attention et d’amour. C’est un dépendant affectif et il a besoin d’une présence humaine pour avoir de l'appétit. Il a peur des mains. Quand j’avance mon visage de sa cage, il s’approche pour donner des bisous. Son chant est doux et tendre. Par contre, il se met à crier lorsque je quitte la pièce, alors je transporte sa cage sur la table de cuisine quand je mange ou au salon si j’écoute la télévision. J’ai tenté de le faire sortir de sa cage, mais il semble avoir de la difficulté à y retourner. Il reste sur le dessus de la cage pendant des heures et il ne mange pas.
L'adoptant que nous recherchons devra avoir du temps à lui consacrer, il est timide et a besoin qu'on prenne du temps avec lui et idéalement aura d'autres oiseaux de son gabarit, un ami ne lui ferait pas de tord !
La raison de la mise en adoption :
L'oiseau a été trouvé et cédé à Perroquetsecours. Il est demeuré 2 mois en famille d'accueil, le temps pour nous d'effectuer des recherches afin de retrouver son propriétaire sans succès. Notre mandat de recherche a été remplis et maintenant l'oiseau peut être mis en adoption. Des frais d'adoption de $20.00 seront exigés pour cet oiseau. L'oiseau ne vient pas avec sa cage cependant, dans le but d'éviter un stress supplémentaire à l'animal, nous pourrons prendre des dispositions avec l'adoptant.

Perroquetsecours doit, sur une base régulière, mettre en adoption des oiseaux trouvés et non réclamés et ce faisant, il met à jour une banque de candidats et candidates intéressés à l’adoption d’un perroquet. Par conséquent et bien que cela ne soit pas sa mission principale, il arrive à titre exceptionnel et à sa seule discrétion que Perroquetsecours accepte d’intervenir pour aider une personne dans le besoin à trouver une nouvelle famille pour un ou plusieurs de ses oiseaux.

Habits and personality: (text based on his foster family's observations)
Cockatiel with a great need for attention and love. He is an emotional addict and needs a human presence to have an appetite. He is afraid of hands. When I put my face near his cage, he approaches to give kisses. His sings with a sweet and tender voice. On the other hand, he begins to scream when I leave the room, so I carry his cage into the kitchen table when I eat or in the living room if I listen to the television. I have tried to get him out of his cage, but he seems to have a hard time going back in. He stays on top of the cage for hours and he does not eat.
The adopter we are looking for will have time to spare, he is shy and he needs someone who will take the time with him and ideally will have other birds of his size, a friend would be a plus for him !
Reason for placing in adoption:
The bird was found and surrendered to Perroquetsecours. He stayed two months in our foster care, time for us to search to find the owner without success. Our mandate has been completed and now the bird can be put up for adoption. The adoption fee for this bird is $20.00. The bird does not come with his cage, however, in order to avoid additional stress to the animal, we can make arrangements with the adopter.

Perroquetsecours must, on a regular basis, put some unclaimed found birds up for adoption and in doing so, it updates a database of candidates interested in adopting a parrot. Therefore, and although this is not its main mission, in exceptional circumstances and at its own discretion, it happens that Perroquetsecours agrees to intervene to help a person in need to find a new family for one or more of their birds.
