An e-mail from yesterday….bird is probably from Surrey/Delta/Richmond
area. This is NOT the same bird that has been sighted in Vancouver on
multiple occasions.
“A blue and yellow macaw was found in the District of North Vancouver
yesterday (hitched a ride on one of the garbage trucks so must have
originally come from Burns Bog area). Left messages at Richmond and
Delta shelters, but no one had reported a missing bird there. Just
wondering if you know where else we can look to get this beauty
back home.”
Please contact me (Audrey) for further information.

This bird has been reunited with its owner. Turns out it is the
same bird that has been spotted loose in Vancouver on multiple
occasions and, yes, the owner told me himself that he is well
aware of the risks he puts his bird at by allowing it to free fly
everywhere.
