Picture or poster :A cage malfunction caused the escape of one of our lovebirds. This bird is part of a rescued pair that both have a feather plucking habit. I didn't think that she would get far because she doesn't have any tailfeathers - but she was quite swift as she flew off into the sunset! We are on the corner of Davies and Marcotte, but there is no telling how far she might get. The feathers on her body are green and her head is a rosy-red colour. She has no tailfeathers, nor does she have feathers on her neck or shoulders. She won't come to you and is quite fearful of people, but if you should see her on your lawn or in a low shrub or flowers, you might be able to catch her by putting a tea towel over her and gathering her up from the bottom as she is captured in the towel. Call me and I will come immediately to get her. Thank you all for keeping a lookout for her. Her husband is very sad today and misses her.
