The search notices were initiated by the loss of a bird and a broken heart, that of Jojo. Perroquetsecours is the extension of a vision of her own and a logical sequence of events. This site is an essential tool for anyone who has lost or found a bird.
Jojo, founder
Perroquetsecours.com
Jojo lives with a winged family consisting of seven parrots, namely: Peanut (jardine), Lola (yellow-fronted amazon), Onyx (African grey), Cashew (alba cockatoo), Maggie (cape parrot), Paco (quaker ) and Cocotte (Quaker).
The loss of her jardine Billy, who escaped during a stay at Ivy Lea Park in Ontario, in July 2008, had a profound impact on Jojo (to read her testimony, click HERE). She lives this painful experience with great intensity and sadness. Having still not found him, she has been browsing the search notices posted on the web every day since that day, in the hope of finding him. Realizing that very few reference sites on the cause of lost/found/stolen parrots exist on the Web, she undertakes to tirelessly spread search notices on certain forums devoted to psittacines. Jojo only had to take one step to create a website entirely dedicated to this cause, which she did in August 2010 by launching Perroquetsecours.com. The great adventure begins and she wishes, thanks to her website, to be able to help parrots find their original family and support parrot owners going through the same painful experience that she went through with the loss of Billy.
