Because your safety and that of your parrot are important to us and we want to prevent people with bad intentions from taking advantage of the publication of certain private information in our search notices, Perroquetsecours has developed a confidentiality policy since its creation.
All personal informations transmitted during a request for publication of a search notice will be kept confidential by Perroquetsecours, unless a written waiver is received by email or through our publication form. The people concerned may, however, publish these informations themselves on our social networks or on any other website, if they deem it necessary, but then Perroquetsecours cannot be held responsible for any resulting damage.
Perroquetsecours certainly assists you when you lose your bird, but unfortunately we cannot take your place. Owners of a lost bird are most likely to find and capture it because their bird will be more likely to respond to a familiar voice and return to them. Your bird will only go to a stranger in times of distress and as a last resort. In the event of an emergency, we will deploy volunteers if available to assist you. Procedures will be automatically sent to you by email to help you in your search.
People who find a bird can decide whether or not to post the photo of the bird found. However, we suggest not doing this in order to avoid false claims. Parroquetsecours will not publish the ring or microchip numbers provided, the owner must be able to provide this information to claim their bird. Procedures will be automatically sent to you by email, to provide you with tools to take good care of the bird found or to help you capture it if it is still in the wild. We will also offer you the opportunity to become his foster family yourself. We will then provide you with everything you need to care for the bird, but you will first have to sign certain documents with us.
Our organization works thanks to donations and volunteers who get involved. We are not mandated by any city to take care of stray animals. We operate with the help of foster families who, when available, take care of the birds we entrust to them. We cannot always act quickly, because we must contact our volunteers and see with them if they are willing and available to take care of a bird. A delay of 24 to 48 hours is often necessary. If you need to quickly dispose of a found bird, we invite you to contact the organization mandated by your city for this purpose. If you prefer to entrust the found bird to us, please let us know and we will begin the procedures to find a foster family.
People who have informations to send regarding a current search notice can do so via the original link in the publication when available, or through our organization at: avisderecherches@perroquetsecours.com
Perroquetsecours will verify the origin and relevance of the informations received and will forward to the people concerned all informations deemed relevant and which could lead to the reunion of a bird with his owner.
