Name Tcho

Age: Unknown
Identification: None
Features BIRD PROFILE: Nicknamed Tcho, this is a rather calm bird who likes to sing from morning until evening. He whistles two different songs. He is still very timid and stressed and will need a patient person who will take the time to gain his trust and gradually acclimate him to humans. He doesn't like to leave his cage much, at least not on his own; it's his safety. We always have to lure him with millet to get him out of his cage. He generally stays close to it and flies very little. He doesn't seem to be used to leaving his cage, or even flying. He has a lot to learn about flying. He will only step onto your hand when he returns to his cage for the night, sometimes going back on his own if it's too dark. Otherwise, he spends his time perched high up, observing. He doesn't play with other birds because he is very timid. If people approach him, he prefers to leave and find a quiet corner by himself, but he doesn't become aggressive. He gets stressed easily if you get too close and will only try to nip if you persist. The person seeking a home must be gentle with him and not startle him. There is an adoption fee of $35.00 for the bird, which is located in Montreal. The bird does not come with a cage, but the adopter can obtain one inexpensively from the organization. The adopter must have completed all the steps, including the home visit, before being able to adopt him. REASON FOR ADOPTION: Bird found outdoors; attempts to locate the owner have been unsuccessful.
